Immigration to Montreal As Matured Student

Hi all. I am a Nigerian in my early 40s.

I wish to migrate to Canada through the student pathway.

I have an admission for 12 months professional programme in IT, i also have 8+ experience in It and administration.

Considering the above details, what are my chances of survival and PR?

Do I also need to speak French to survive in Montreal?
